Ilsedora Laker, the first Canadian German New Medicine educator and consultant authorized by Dr. Hamer, resides in Toronto, Canada, where she pioneered the introduction of the German New Medicine, and continues to train medical and lay specialists in its practice throughout North America. Ilsedora is also instrumental in introducing Dr. Hamer’s work to South America, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan and Japan.

Ilsedora discovered the work of Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer in 1992 through a colleague at Herbs and Health Holistic Centre in Toronto. Subsequent investigation of the work of Dr. Hamer and application of his research to her clinical cases proved to Ilsedora over and over again that Dr. Hamer's findings are accurate.

In 1994 Ilsedora met a highly renowned protégé of Dr. Hamer, and invited him to conduct the first New Medicine seminar in North America. Her New Medicine studies (as Dr. Hamer’s research was then called) continued under his protege's supervision until 1997 when she inaugurated her series of New Medicine seminars.

In 1998, Ilsedora was introduced to Dr. Hamer and, at his request, sponsored his first seminar in Canada. After this event, she became his student and shortly thereafter was entrusted by him with overseeing the translation of his thesis “The Summary of the New Medicine” first published in German in 1994, in English in 2000, which is now available through her office and her web site.

After the thesis publication, Ilsedora's team began the immense undertaking of translating Dr. Hamer's two-volume 1,250 page “Legacy of the New Medicine”, also known as the “Gold Books,” now in press. The revision of the “Scientific Chart” published in book form in January 2008 is available through https://www.newmedicine.ca/order.php as of March 2008.

Presently, Ilsedora, in addition to being CEO of this web site of the German New Medicine (GNM), continues to teach and train others in the full practice of the GNM. She also maintains a highly respected clinical practice in Toronto and is working on the translation of Dr. Hamer’s most recent research “The 12+1 Cranial Nerve Chart of the New Medicine.”


Dr. Douglas Price graduated in 1984 from the Texas Chiropractic College where he also accumulated 3,200 hours of practice in complimentary medicine.

Dr. Price has traveled around the world on an on-going basis to study with prominent practitioners and scientists in order to combine their findings with his own to provide a healthier pathway to wellness and resolution. He is renowned for his work in Europe and Hawaii.

In 2000, he participated in his first New Medicine courses in Europe with an authorized teacher trained by Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer. Two years later he participated in the advanced GNM seminars with Ilsedora Laker the GNM pioneer in Canada who is also a protégé authorized by Dr. Hamer. Dr. Price's three year internship under Ms. Laker's supervision provided knowledge of the infinite nuances of the GNM in clinical practice.

In September 2006 Dr. Price traveled to Spain to meet with Dr. Hamer and to attend his consultations. He felt privileged to experience Dr. Hamer's methodology first hand. As a result of his studies, he is was allowed by Dr. Hamer to present the German New Medicine under Ms. Laker's guidance throughout the English speaking world.

Re- German New Medicine Certificates of “Authenticity”

It has recently been reported to this web site that there are claims that there is only one “authorized GNM teacher in North America ".  As the biographies above attest, this is not true. Apparently these claims state that in order to be recognized as an authorized teacher of the GNM, one must possess a “certificate” of attendance at Dr. Hamer’s seminars. Dr. Hamer himself states that he does not give certificates qualifying anyone to teach the GNM.

It is also implied on another GNM web site that it is "Dr. Hamer's web site". This is not the case. In 2001, Dr. Hamer paid for the construction of this GNM web site to promote his work in the English speaking world.

It is not the policy of this GNM web site to make derogatory remarks about other modalities or well known authors in the field of mind-body medicine. Unfortunately another GNM web site has taken upon itself to do just that. We believe this creates a rift in the healing community that given the opportunity could support and further Dr. Hamer's research. We prefer to make friends, not enemies.  Thankfully it is stated on the other web site that they are not associated with us.

Having said that, there are groups out there such as "Total Biology" and Meta-Medicine" which mislead the public into thinking that they possess true knowledge of Dr. Hamer's work. That is clearly not the case, what they present is a distortion of the GNM and an inaccurate account of this empirical and meticulous research. It is therefore not surprising that these groups do not get the same results as therapists that follow Dr. Hamer's direction.

It has come to our attention that there are people claiming to be authorized teachers of the GNM by permission of someone other than Dr. Hamer. The only person qualified to give that permission is Dr. Hamer.

Dr. Hamer has established the University of Sandefijord in order to officially teach the GNM at a certification level. The curriculum is in progress and until it is fully established, those teaching the GNM need his express permission to do so. To be able to teach the principles of the GNM on an effective level, it takes a considerable amount of knowledge, experience and expertise.

There are many people in both the English speaking world and European community that claim to have this expertise but are not authorized by Dr. Hamer to do so.
